When shopping for preprinted legal index tabs, in additional to your normal choices (side or bottom tab, letter or legal size, A 4 size, numerical or alphabetical, exhibit, roman numeral, etc), look for a couple of additional features.

You may want to match any existing tabs you have on hand or that are in use in previously produced documents with respect to the printing (type style).

The two most popular printing styles, which are available through this website are commonly know as the Avery™ style, which is characterized by its Helvetica bold print and ALL CAPS or the Allstate™ style which is printed in Helvetica and utilizes Upper and Lower case type style.

You will also want the extended tab portion to be plastic coated for durability.  Our legal index tabs are also printed on both sides of the tab so that you can easily and quickly flip forward and backwards through the document.

Finally, if you purchase the tabs unpunched, you will have the most flexibility in how you bind the finished document.  Choose side or top bind and any of the popular methods such as Velo™, GBC™, wire bind, spiral bound, Acco™ style cover, tape bind, 3 hole or any other method you prefer.
